Privacy Policy for Knowledge API Connect
Knowledge API Connect (hereinafter referred to as "the Extension") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how your data is handled when you use the Extension.
1. Data Collection and Usage
Google API Key: The Extension requires a Google API key provided by the user to communicate with the Google Developer Knowledge API. Your API key is stored strictly locally within your browser's storage (chrome.storage.local). The developer does not collect, track, or store your API key on any external servers.
Search Queries and History: When you use the search function, your search keywords are sent directly to Google's API to fetch the documentation. To improve user experience, your search history is saved only locally in your browser.
2. Data Sharing and Disclosure The developer of the Extension does not collect, view, sell, or share your personal information, API keys, or search history with any third parties. All operations are performed directly between your browser and Google's servers.
3. Third-Party Services The Extension uses Google's "Developer Knowledge API" to retrieve search results. Data transmission during the use of this API is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
4. User Responsibility Users are solely responsible for managing their own API keys and keeping them secure.
5. Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page.
